Congratulations to the Asphalt Plant for being awarded SHARP Recognition. We are the only Asphalt Plant in the state with this recognition, & one of only 48 others in the state. WAY TO GO. Plant Safety Record being below the industry average (only one injury at the plant would put them over) they have had ZERO injuries at the plant for several years now & have made MANY improvements over the last few years to be able to achieve this status,things like fixing guard rails, steps, handrails, ground level, posting signage, regular hazard audits, etc.
Thanks for all of your hard work, & like the OSHA representative said today- this award is for the employees – each and every one of you make the decision to work safe each day, thank you for that!
