Since our founding in 1978, Opp Construction has always stood for excellence and integrity, while also continually working to improve our business, our communities, and ourselves. Since 2016, we have been able to expand the reach of these values through our first quarter volunteer program.
According to the Mayo Clinic, volunteering can boost physical and mental health, while also helping to provide a sense of purpose. With most of our employees being seasonal, we are well aware of how long winter can get for all of us, so to help our employees and the communities they live in we offer forty hours of paid time for them to volunteer.
Last year, 72 employees spent over 2,700 hours at food shelves, putting our total since 2021 up to 10,294.5 hours. That is 429 days of making a real impact at local senior centers, humane societies, food banks, public trails and more.
Thank you to all of our employees for taking this opportunity to make a difference in the great communities where you live!
